Facilitation in Practice

Overview

Facilitating groups well asks us to stay present, think on our feet and ensure all participants are included. This workshop pairs a half-day in person with two follow-up sessions online, so you build skills and confidence both face-to-face and online. Led by experienced facilitators, it gives you evidence-based tools and the time to practise them across several weeks, with feedback as you go.

What you'll gain

  • Engaging groups: create interactive, inclusive sessions where every participant has a way in.
  • Confidence: practical techniques, plus the chance to watch experienced facilitators at work.
  • Design and planning: shape content that works with the way adults learn.
  • Online facilitation: specific tools for holding attention and connection on screen.
  • Hands-on practice: try new approaches in a supportive group, then bring them back and refine them.

Why it matters

  • Stronger collaboration and communication across your teams and programs.
  • More genuine, respectful partnerships with the people in your groups.
  • Fresh approaches you can use in your next session, in the room and online.
