Platforms for Empowered Communities

Overview

Platforms is a community-led approach developed by the Centre for Community Child Health, aimed at improving the environments and experiences of children in the communities where they live.

Platforms training provides guidance on strengthening community ‘platforms’, including safe neighbourhoods, connected families and high-quality services, to promote better health and equity for children and their families.

Co-designed workshops

Our team are experienced in working with organisations to adapt Platforms training approaches to meet specific needs and contexts. Our approach to working with your organisation will model the Platforms approach by co-designing workshops with you and other local stakeholders.

Explore the Platforms approach through customised workshops that emphasise working in partnership and genuine community engagement.

Delivery formats

We’ve delivered co-designed Platforms workshops across Australia including:

  • Two-day workshops within and across organisations that cover phases of the Platforms approach.
  • A series of workshops that cover the entire Platforms approach.
  • Workshops delivered over an extended period, within and across organisations, to support the use of the Platforms approach in communities.
  • Tailored Platforms presentations at conferences.
  • Online workshops for groups working together with a specific focus.
