Enabling connected, quality services and support

December 2025

Children and families benefit when they can easily access quality and connected local services and supports. These welcoming, connected places are known as Child and Family Hubs (Hubs).

The National Child and Family Hub Network is Australia’s first national network dedicated to strengthening over 470+ Hubs nationwide. Through research, advocacy and learning opportunities – a community of practice, a national conference, webinars and policy briefs – we build the capacity of Hubs and support evidence-based action to ensure families and Hubs can thrive.

Our impact

Building change together

The Network’s first national conference to connect, learn and identify shared priorities for change was attended by 150 people from across Australia.

Elevating child and family voice

15 family and community representatives from 12 organisations were actively supported to authentically share their experiences and expertise at the conference.

Strengthening practice

Our webinars received over 4,567 registrations and 25 Hub leaders are part of the Network’s Community of Practice.

Evidence-informed action

98% of our webinar evaluation participants said they intended to use the information presented.

Next steps

The National Child and Family Hub Network will continue to focus on building the evidence base for Hubs. We will advocate for sustainable funding to improve Hub quality and scale them nationally, so more children and families can access the right care at the right time.

The National Child and Family Hubs Network is a national, collaborative group working together to strengthen Child and Family Hubs Australia-wide through research, policy, advocacy, and learning. The Network is supported by The Ian Potter Foundation, Minderoo Foundation, and Paul Ramsay Foundation.
