This webinar introduced the new Relational Ecosystem Model (REM) – a product of several years of work at the Centre.

Through a series of conversations between a policymaker, service leader, practitioner and family member, our webinar panellists discussed how relational conditions shape trust, engagement and outcomes – and why a reform like Thriving Kids relies on these conditions to succeed.

Engaging Families: Building and sustaining helpful relationships

Strengthen your confidence in engaging with parents who may find services difficult to access, through exploring family ecology and worker and service characteristics that support parent engagement. You'll learn how to overcome barriers, create a welcoming environment for families, and identify and implement practical strategies to promote engagement within and across services.

This workshop provides an opportunity to reflect on your interactions with others and the effect of interactions with all people who influence children’s learning and development.

You'll explore the principles and theoretical underpinnings of reflective practice and be able to identify the characteristics of effective reflection on practice.

The workshop enables you to practice skills and strategies involved in the facilitation of reflective practices with colleagues and parents.
